Engine Alarm & Bilige Montoring

Instead of sounding an alarm or turning on a light, Dock Hound will send alerts to your phone, tablet, or computer! Using your current WiFi connection to send data thru the internet, the Dock Hound will give you peace of mind while you are away from the dock.

If your bilge reaches a high water level and the bilge pump does not properly empty the bilge, Dock Hound will send you an alert. You will also receive an alert every time your motor is turned on and turned off. Trailer movement is also monitored by Dock Hound. If your trailer is moved, you will receive an alert. Of course, all of this is adjustable within our support interface.

The Dock Hound utilizes battery power to monitor your bilge and motor. 2 AA batteries will keep the device powered between 1 and 2 years. You will receive a notification when the batteries are dying as well.

Instead of wasting time and effort to hard wire a bilge monitor in to your boat, you simply setup and install Dock Hound in your bilge. The only wires involved are the wires to the water level probe. The water level probe maintains the bilge and the Dock Hound box houses the radio, batteries, engine and trailer monitor, and other electronics. The entire device and all of the housings and wires are completely waterproof and made with marine grade cable.

The Dock Hound Device is not the first bilge or engine monitor, by any means. It is, however, the first to do so on battery power and directly accessing the internet through wifi. Other monitors require boat battery power, a gateway to connect to wifi, and/or a monthly GSM subscription to report. Dock Hound costs less to purchase, maintain, and install.

GSM and GPS monitors require a monthly fee to report to the internet through a sim card. This can cost anywhere from 10 to 30 dollars a month depending on your plan. Dock Hound costs nothing to report to the internet because it utilizes your existing wifi network.

Dock Hound is the first wireless reporting device powered by nothing but a pair of AA batteries. This allows for the device to monitor without connection to the boat’s power or any external power source. If the boat’s power goes down, Dock Hound will still keep on reporting.

Other wireless monitors require a personal gateway to connect to the wireless network. This not only slows the reporting time, but also increases the cost of the system. Dock Hound reports directly to your network and does not require any additional infrastructure.
